June 15 Meeting

June 15 Meeting
Thank you all for a great semester of learning and growing with fellow educators.  Please post your final reflection to this years group- what did you learn and what helped you grow as a teacher.  Hope to see you all next year.
Attached is our group photo from the last meeting.

  1. I really enjoyed the Blended Learning Affinity Group. I wasn't too familiar with the idea of Blended Learning before joining this group and it was really interesting to learn about this innovative way to deliver information to students. I am planning on implementing some of these ideas into my teaching next school year.

Vanessa, we used your sweatshirt to represent you in the photo :)

    Have a great summer!

  2. I also enjoyed our monthly meetings with Blended Learning Affinity Group. I was curious how blended learning is being used in the library setting and how other librarians utilize blended learning with their students. I am grateful for all the suggestions and sharing with one another. The group inspired me to seek more professional development related to blended learning and implementing information technology into instruction in general. Have a great and restful summer!

  3. Blended Learning is fascinating since it's still in the beginning stages and we don't know yet exactly know how it can be used most effectively in our libraries and classrooms. I want to experiment this coming summer, thanks to Kelly for suggesting the Google Group, with my book club students so we can continue our book discussions. I don't have permission slips for these students so this might be the safest way to be online together. I think that they give the permission slips out in the school but I'm not positive about that. I also enjoyed meeting with the other librarians to discuss other library issues and I hope to be a part of this group next year. Thank you Rachel for organizing and leading this group. I wish everyone an enjoyable summer!

  4. Who knew I was doing Blended Learning all along as a school librarian. I really enjoyed learning from my colleagues at the monthly meetings with Blended Learning Affinity Group. The readings chosen by Rachel were informative and engaging. Sharing ideas and discussing our role as librarians was empowering. I have so many great ideas for the new school year. Thank you all for your warmth, professionalism and tutelage. Have a great summer!
